About Peter, the founder of Wall Street Coaching
I am a qualified professional with expertise in banking and risk management as well as a former elite athlete. I also hold a postgraduate degree in Business and Executive Coaching from Corvinus University, one of Hungary’s leading universities. Beyond my qualifications, I consider myself a hardworking, authentic, and supportive individual who is passionate about helping others reach their full potential. My mission is to inspire growth through positive action, purposeful thinking, and continuous development, drawing on more than 25 years of experience and lessons learned from both elite sports and the banking industry across the United States and Europe.
I have spent more than 25 years performing in high-pressure, high-performance environments. As a water polo player, I competed alongside Olympic champions, won the U17 European Championship, became a Hungarian National Champion, and captured four U.S. Open titles—twice as a player and twice as a coach. I also had the privilege of training with, competing against, and coaching Olympic champions and world-class athletes, experiences that profoundly shaped my understanding of high performance, leadership, teamwork, and resilience.
Following my sports journey, I pursued a new challenge: building a career in the business of banking. Within over a decade on Wall Street, I progressed from analyst to director in the risk management field—an achievement that reflects the same discipline, resilience, and commitment that defined my athletic career. My final role in New York was as a Senior Risk Officer at Standard Chartered Bank. Prior to that, I held a variety of positions in business analysis, project management, operational risk, and risk management strategy at JPMorgan Chase and Chase Auto Finance. Upon returing to Hungary, I spent nearly two years with Citi Hungary as an operational risk and resilience manager.
Today, my mission is to help others unlock their potential by sharing the lessons, mindset, and practical tools that have helped me navigate both success and adversity. Throughout every stage of my journey, one thing remained constant: a relentless focus on growth, disciplined execution, and the determination to move forward regardless of the obstacles in front of me.
My story is ultimately one of transformation. After a promising but injury-interrupted sports career, I moved to the United States with the goal of earning a degree and one day working on Wall Street. Years later, that goal became reality. After spending more than 16 years building a successful career in New York, I returned to Europe to start a family and am now the proud father of two boys.
This journey taught me an important lesson: success should be defined by your own values, not by someone else’s expectations. We all have unique talents, strengths, and aspirations. When our goals align with who we truly are, we create the foundation for both achievement and fulfillment. When they do not, even traditional definitions of success can leave us feeling unfulfilled.
My role as a performance coach is to help you identify your strengths, clarify your goals, and create a practical path toward achieving them. Together, we will explore not only what you want to accomplish, but also how to build a life that is meaningful, sustainable, and aligned with your values.
Life is rarely a straight line. It presents unexpected challenges, setbacks, and moments of uncertainty. My coaching philosophy is shaped not only by professional expertise but also by lived experience. Along the way, I have faced a near career-ending sports injury, the loss of a parent at an early age, the challenges of adapting to life in a foreign country, and more than two decades of living and working abroad. These experiences taught me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of maintaining perspective when circumstances are beyond our control.
At Wall Street Coaching, I combine lessons from elite sports, Wall Street, leadership, risk management, and life itself to help individuals perform at their best. My goal is not simply to help you achieve success, but to help you define success on your own terms and build a life that is both rewarding and fulfilling.
I am positive that I will help you find the true potential in you as well.
Testimonials
★★★★★
Peter was recommended to me by a friend. I had been sceptical about coaching but Peter helped me tremendously to regain my faith and get on the path of success. He helped me believe that the biggest enemy lied within. He helped me identify issues that had blocked my development for years. He really did help me understand how my goals should drive all my actions. I got promoted within my company shortly after I started working with him, and after my promotion, I got a better offer externally. My life, my career and my self confidence all received a major boost. I cannot be more thankful for seeking out his services.
